The rows cover 7,154 of 7,154 distinct orbital launch attempts (successes, failures, partials and unknowns; pad explosions excluded) from 1957 through 2026, current to the 2026-09-15 update of Jonathan McDowell's GCAT — a single source, with Orbital Radar's independent year archive linked per row as corroboration. Every launch carries a year and site; 6,880 have a resolved operating bloc (274 blank where a composite agency code did not resolve) and 7,153 a resolved site-active flag (one blank). Operating bloc means the state GCAT associates with the launch-service organization, not the payload owner nor necessarily the site's territory.

Method: GCAT Release 1.8.8 (planet4589.org), update of 2026-09-15 — 7,154 rows, one per distinct orbital launch or attempt (launch category beginning O: success, failure, partial or unknown; pad explosions and aborts excluded), 1957 to 2026-09-15. Operating bloc is the state GCAT ties to the launch-service organization; 274 rows keep a blank bloc where the composite agency code did not resolve, and one row lacks a site-active flag — none are dropped. A site counts as active if any historical naming phase of the same physical site has a null stop date, which GCAT defines as still operating or assumed so; air and mobile launches use GCAT's ascent site when supplied. Map circles aggregate launches sharing coordinates; the table holds every row, paged 25 at a time with full search, filters and CSV download. Single-sourced from GCAT; Orbital Radar year pages linked per row as independent corroboration.
